Narrate with your own voice
Record about a minute of yourself reading and AudioForge builds a voice from it. Choose “Use my voice” wherever you pick a custom voice. It has to be your own recording, and nobody else can use the voice.
New features and improvements in AudioForge, newest first.

Phonetic spellings in a book’s Glossary are read aloud in place of the word when you generate audio. Add or change an entry and the lines that use that word are reset so you can regenerate them.
Import one .docx, .txt or PDF and we split it into chapters for you. Check the result, rename, reorder, split or join chapters, then add them all to your book in one go.
Profile is now Author profile and Account settings. Promote shows Analytics and Reels, and each book’s public page is edited from the book itself.
Lines the parser guessed at now carry an “Unsure” tag in the Studio. Tick the guess if it’s right, or pick another speaker — and jump between them with “Next uncertain line”.
Choose a sound from the library first, then click in your chapter to drop it exactly where you want.
The sound effects drawer now searches your whole library in one list, and generating a custom effect opens in its own dialog.
Close the floating chat bubble to get it off your screen for good — you can still reach Apichai any time from the “?” menu in the top bar.
The chapter name is optional when you start your first chapter — leave it blank and we’ll call it “Chapter 1” until you rename it.
Hover any author on the leaderboard to see their books, audio output, and the badges they’ve earned.
See every book produced on AudioForge, climb the weekly author leaderboard, and earn badges as you produce and publish — 12 of them pay free credits.
Our team turns your book into a multi-voice audiobook for you — parsing, casting, and audio production handled, you review and approve. Limited to 100 authors: claim your spot from the sidebar.
Create your account or sign in with your Apple ID — works in every browser, including in-app ones where Google sign-in doesn't load.
Upload any image as your reel's artwork instead of the book cover — handy for chapter art or promo visuals.
Your book can go live as soon as one chapter is ready — draft chapters no longer block publishing. Mark a chapter ready to release it to listeners, one at a time, perfect for ongoing serials.
Bookmark any voice in the Voice Library and find it again under a new Saved tab in every voice picker — narrator, characters, and casting. Favorites are stored on your account and follow you across devices.
After pausing or moving the playhead, chapter preview now re-cues the selected segment from its beginning instead of resuming near its end or skipping it.
Changing the Soften level now refreshes the sound-effect preview immediately without stopping playback, making it easier to compare settings without pressing play again.
The homepage now introduces AudioForge as turning readers into audiobook listeners, keeps the familiar chapter-paste controls, and moves the 10,000-credit offer below the introduction so the next step is easier to scan.
Parsed chapters now open directly in the studio while in-progress custom voices stay safe, the SFX library scrolls properly on smaller phones, and the play bar clearly shows when sound-effect edits are syncing.
Segments can now be deleted in the studio, changing a character's voice actually regenerates their lines with the new voice, and voice filters work correctly with custom voices.
The play bar now waits for freshly regenerated lines instead of skipping them, edits made mid-save are never lost, and placing sound effects is more reliable.
Character voice prompts now show inferred accent context, and changed lines are marked more clearly when audio needs regeneration.
SFX now show in your script without opening the drawer, voice-generation progress is clearer, and exported chapters are marked and playable right from the book page.
