The Director Studio
Everything you need for making an audiobook is here
AudioForge reads a chapter like a screenplay — who speaks each line and how. Shape the performance, then export the finished chapter.

A distinct voice for every character
Pick a voice, or describe one "a gravelly dwarven king" — and design it from scratch.

Direct the performance, line by line
Set the tone of every line, and regenerate a single delivery without paying for the rest.

Ambient sound & SFX, built in
Prompt an atmosphere or effect and drop it onto the timeline — no other tools needed.

Consistent pronunciation across the series
Teach it your character and place names once; the pronunciations carry across the whole series.

A 15-hour audiobook shouldn't cost $6,000.
Human narration runs $100–200 per chapter — on a long-running serial, thousands of dollars before you've sold a single copy. AudioForge gets you multi-voice production quality for a fraction of that, and every right and royalty stays with you.
Studio-quality audio
Export mastered, high-quality MP3 — polished and ready to release.

You own it
We're a production tool, not a publisher — your text, audio, and characters stay yours.
FAQ
Fair questions.
Who owns the audio?
You do — 100%. AudioForge is a production tool, not a publisher: your text, your characters, your audio files, your royalties. If you ever sign a traditional deal, one click permanently deletes everything from our servers.
Is it expensive?
Right now, everything is free for a limited time while we grow with our first authors — sign up and hear your chapters in full voice at no cost. When pricing arrives it'll be pay-as-you-go by the word, no subscription required, and deliberately low for early adopters.
Can I publish it on Audible?
Not yet — Audible/ACX doesn't accept AI-narrated audiobooks, though that's beginning to shift. Spotify, Apple Books, Google Play, and Kobo all accept AI narration with a simple disclosure, and Patreon or YouTube are yours to use however you like.
Won't it sound like AI slop?
Flat, single-voice TTS is why AI audiobooks have a bad name. AudioForge casts a distinct voice for every character and lets you direct the tone of each line — and regenerate any delivery that doesn't land. Play the featured sample on this page and judge for yourself.
Is my manuscript used to train AI models?
No. Your text is sent to our AI providers only to produce your audio, under API terms that exclude training, and you can delete it from our servers at any time.
What if a line sounds wrong?
Fix that line and regenerate it alone — unchanged segments are cached and never billed again. You only ever pay for what you change.
What if I'm too lazy?
Sign up and contact us directly — we'll get an editor to help with your uploads. This is a limited-time offer.
